Algorights is a collaborative network that aims to promote civil society participation in artificial intelligence, with a special focus on the use of AI by public institutions. We share information, foster debates, build alliances, and engage in initiatives that can contribute to the development of algorithmic and artificial intelligence technologies that are more democratic, fair, and equitable.
- To promote citizen participation in decision-making spaces regarding the conceptualization, design, development, implementation, control, and evaluation of AI technologies.
- To advocate for human rights as fundamental principles guiding all technological development and implementation, and to seek mechanisms to ensure their protection.
- To incorporate feminist perspectives, drawing on feminist ideas to contribute to equality in all areas, and deploying specific practices and reflections that center care.
- To move towards social justice through implementing technologies that are free from discriminatory biases and help combat current social inequalities.
Algorights was founded in 2021 and since then we have carried out various activities and lines of action. If you want to learn more about our work or collaborate with us, do not hesitate to write to us at info@algorights.org.
